NAMI MN: Responding to Callers with Mental Illness
May is Mental Health Awareness month. Standpoint is proud to have representatives from the Minnesota chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) join us for this month’s webinar. We’ll begin with an introduction to NAMI. In this “Get to Know NAMI” segment participants will learn about the various programs, classes and offerings by NAMI Minnesota and hear the impact NAMI has on people’s lives. After a brief break, the webinar will transition to the “Dealing With Difficult Callers” segment. In this portion of the webinar participants will learn the signs and symptoms of mental illnesses, along with tips and strategies that can be used in dealing with difficult callers to manage the call, and yourself.
Please note: this presentation will run from 1:00pm-3:40pm. The first 1.5 hours will be "Get to know NAMI" and the last hour following a 10 min break will be "Dealing with Difficult Callers."

About Standpoint’s Monthly Webinars:
Each month, Standpoint produces a cost-free webinar, designed to educate advocates in areas they may not otherwise receive training in. We are always looking for feedback in regards to what advocates would like to receive information on. All of our webinars are recorded and archived on our YouTube page.
